Putting Greens International won "Golfs version of the Academy
Awards"
Mirage Putting
Greens was selected to host/sponsor the 19th Hole Hospitality Green at the
2003 International PGA Merchandise Golf Show held in Orlando, Florida on January
23rd through January 26th. The putting green surface featured the Mirage Tour-Putt
(Non-Sand Filled) Synthetic Turf and the green was surrounded with Mirages
synthetic grass fringe. The display booth area was over 4,000 sq. ft. and
featured a chipping area. The 19th Hole Mirage Green was open to various putter
and wedge manufactures to demonstrate their new technology clubs. Mirage had
on display its revolutionary synthetic turf products, i.e. putting green turf,
fringe grass, fairway grass, target green turf, driving range landing area
turf, and lawn grass. Mirage also be featured a putting contest in cooperation
with the PGA Show and raised thousands of dollars that were donated to the
PGA Foundation.

Greens International won "Golfs version of the Academy Awards"
the 2003 Golf Industry Honors presented by the International Network of Golf
and PGA Golf Exhibitions. Mirage Putting Greens International was selected
as outstanding achievement for the "Best Product Demonstration in a Booth,"
beating out Companies such as; Nike, Callaway, TaylorMade, Spalding and etc.
Many golf celebrities
stopped by to putt and use the Mirage Hospitality Green to introduce their
new putting devices. Representatives from the "Jim McLean Golf Schools"
were on the green holding putting clinics on Friday and Saturday.
Golf celebrity,
"David Leadbetter" stopped by and displayed his new "Lazerball
Putting Aid."
Europes
"Putting Guru," Mr. Harold Swash (inventor of the C-Groove Putter
Technology) was on the green every day at noon, holding a "putting clinic."
Golfs Short Game Guru, Dave Pelz stopped by to say hello to a colleague
(Mr. Harold Swash). PGA Pro Lee Elder stopped by to try out the Mirage Putting
Surface.
The Mirage Putting
Green Booth was featured on the Golf Channel throughout the week as the "Winner"
of the ING Award for the Best Product Demonstration in a Booth.
Overall, it
was a very successful show for Mirage Putting Greens. Mirage estimates the
over 10,000 attendees stopped by the try out the Mirage Putting Surface. |
